River
The river Mumlava has actually 2 springs - the Big and Small Mumlava. It collects its waters on the Mumlava meadow north of the Kotel. In the
lower part of eroded Mumlava pit is the most visited Giant Mountain's waterfall. Under the 8 m cascade and further down the riverbed are pittoresque nature phenomenons - gigantic pots and washouts in the granite.
The turbulent Mumlava rises in the triangle between the peaks - Okolník, Kotel and Lysá hora. At Krakonošova snídaně (Krakonoš's breakfast place) the Mumlava joined by the Malá Mumlava (Small Mumlava), further down by the Smrková strouha and the Vosecká strouha.
